Go to the Quick Links at the top of this page (Brown tab). Click on Edit Options and a page will open up. Scroll down to this section and this is what you will see to open your Visitor's Messages on your Profile page:

When I started freebie trading in July, 2008 I started from home and would check on my sites from my office. I immediately started getting questioned from 2 major freebie sites and cleared this problem up.

I have always completed offers from my home, but still check in from both places.

NOW, I have changed internet providers at the office. Where I still only check on things from. I do not do offers from this location.

So, I wanted to make a blanket announcement for anyone who might be curious. I have a new ipaddress that I will be using to check in on things.

I seriously did not want to open a support ticket on 50 sites to notify all my freebie sites of this change. I think I might do that on 3 or 4 sites that I mainly use, but there would sure to be someone I might miss.

Please forgive me if there is a better place to make this thread. Move it, edit it or whatever, but if I'm wrong to do this here, please let me know.

Since I know of a few people who have been trading for years using a wireless card and never EVER heard of them not being allowed I went directly to a site owner/mod and asked.

So I went to RewardMouse, ParadiseFreebies, OurLoot2Boot, Git-R-Free, & MoneyBonanzas and not one of them have anything in their TOS about wireless cards not being allowed.

I do understand that being wireless there is a greater chance of getting a dupe IP of another person whom has completed offers, but NO WHERE does it say that they are not allowed. I am turning towards the masses to try to get this resolved. But first note that my IP has been checked and checked again and always comes up "clean". OK, on to the problem:

When I go to different IFW sites and try to view the offers, there are 6 that I cannot view. They are always the same 6 offers on every site. When I click on "do this offer" it redirects me, as it should, but the page that always comes up states, "Server has encountered a problem" "Offer expired". After contacting the site owner via a support ticket I was told the offer was in good standing. He did some checking and I was told that all of the problem offers were from the same affiliate and they might possibly have my IP banned for some reason, but my IP is "clean". My mentor then got in touch with other site owners to see if any of them has ever heard of this happening and what to do. Now, I have completed other offers on the same sites with absolutely no crediting issues. I have spoken to my ISP to see if maybe they have sort of restrictions in place that may be causing this issue and they do not. They believe that the affiliate has a ban on a "range" of IP's and unfortunately mine falls within that "range". I also asked them if in fact this is the case could they simply change my IP and was told it couldn't be done because of the system they have in place. My IP does change now and then but not enough to get me out of this "banned" zone. Thinking along those lines, I thought I would try to use a wireless card to see if it is truly an IP thing or something perhaps in my computer causing this. And much to my surprise, the wireless card works just fine but I know those cannot be used in the Freebie Trading biz. So now what?? I believe everyone that has helped me on this problem is at their "wits end" trying to figure it out. I very much appreciate their time and effort to help out a complete stranger and commend them for it. If you have any ideas on why this is happening please feel free to post them, any and all help will be greatly appreciated!

We're all very happy and pleased with the results....YAY I SAY! :D

HOWEVER, when good things happens, sometimes the bad might be around the corner. Things happens that are just out of our control as we all painfully learned back in 2008. Now, I'm very grateful that PPD is with us, but the last thing I think we all want is making mistakes of the past. Frankly, I'm deeply concerned that, without even knowing it, we'll put Calistyle101 at the mercy of PPD and depend on them for the forum's survival.

Now, members can certainly help out with bringing some of that traffic in by promoting the forum and whatnot, but at the end of day, whatever we members manage to bring in, it just pales in comparison to what a forum owner can do.

This was made clear to me when Leslie became owner of Calistyle. Within a matter of weeks, Leslie was able to bring this, once dying forum, back to it's former glory and all without the help of PPD. To this day, I have no clue what he did or what traffic sources he used to make this happen, but thankfully it worked and this forum was able to go on.

Now, seeing what Leslie was able to accomplish through those sources, it makes me wonder how much more traffic we can get through other sources on top of PPD. I know Mike is one busy man and he has done a lot for us in the short time he's been here, but I have to ask as a deeply loyal member to Calistyle, are there any plans to bring in other traffic sources besides PPD so that if the worst does happen.......again........, we'll have a plan B in place to keep this forum going?

PS: One thing I will certainly recognize is Mike's good connections with PPD, and because of that, I'm assuming that the likelihood of that infamous "worst case scenario" happening again in the foreseeable future has dropped dramatically. However, since no one has brought this up yet, I want some reassurance that we won't let history repeat itself.
